We'd like to enlighten why such meetings are arranged and what the expectations of this meeting are. Moreover, we'll look ahead in the future of the mail- and calendarclient Kontact. |
| 10:30-11:30 | NLnet presents Globule, Turtle and CAcert By Wytze van der Raay, Hans Onvlee and Teus Hagen The goal is to create consciousness, to spread knowledge and to encourage communication amont the Open Source community. Globule By Guillaume Pierre This open source NLnet project is done by the VU Amsterdam, with supervisor prof. Maarten van Steen. The software allows you to backup website content on a peer-to-peer manner. Guillame Pierre will explain how to implement this as a module for the Apache webserver. Turtle By Bogdan Popescu Open source NLnet project: This project is done by the VU Amsterdam with supervisor prof. Andy Tanenbaum. Bogdan Popescu will explain how Turtle makes anonymous peer-to-peer traffic with sensitive information possible. CAcert By Teus Hagen NLnet supports CAcert.org's initiative with free digital X.509 certificates for e-mail services on clients and servers. Teus Hagen will explain how the "web of trust" serves as a basis for CAcert and relatives. CAcert.org is a non-profit organisation, located in Sydney, Australia. |
| 11:30-12:30 | Migration to the KDE-desktop By J. van der M. and M. van der H. A Dutch organisation would like to tell it's successfull migration to +/- 200 KDE-desktops. A demo will be shown of the desktop they're using right now. The name of the speakers will be announced during the sponsor session. |
| 12:30-13:30 | Kolab and Kontact, a powerful combination By Till Adam and Matt Douhan Till and Matt will explain how to use the Kolab groupware server in combination with Kontact, KDE's mail- and calendarclient. |
| 13:30 | Open discussion We conclude this sponsor session with an open discussion. This is the oppurtunity to meet the KDEPIM developers and other present persons personally. |
